This is a strict requirement. You must install these. These are not for negotiation.
While not an add-on, it's worth mentioning here that voice Discord is required. Please have a microphone or alternative ready for raiding. Keeping quiet is not a problem 99% of the time, but some bosses require a call out at points. All our tactics are discussed on discord; most raids are co-ordinated this way.
Discord is also used socially, so it is good to have it installed.
